My domain name is registered at another registrar. How do I host it on The Real Estate Host servers?
Regardless of where your domain name is registered, you can host it with any web hosting provider of your choice. When you sign up with our services we send you a welcome email that will contain our name servers. You will need to visit your registrar and modify the current name servers listed for your domain name to reflect our name servers. Once you make those modifications it will take up to 72 hours for the changes to propagate across all the networks at which time your domain name will come live on your hosting account on our servers and you will be able reach your account using your domain name www.yourdomain.com from your web browser. If you are unsure what we mean by changing your name servers, click the Live Assistant graphic in the right menu and one of our Representatives will walk you through the process.
How do I access my account on your servers before the name servers are propagated and my domain name is live with my hosting account?
The welcome email that we send when you sign up will include account login information that will permit you to access your account prior to DNS propagation. This allows you to upload your web pages and to access the control panel to setup the features available to you.
Are there any setup fees or contracts required for web hosting plans?
No, there are no hidden fees or setup fees and no contracts for hosting plans.
I see that you offer a 30 day money back guarantee. How does this work?
Our money back guarantee applies to all first time clients hosting fees only. In the event that you are unsatisfied with our services within the first 30 days of service we will refund all hosting fees upon receipt of the account cancellation request form with no questions asked.
I see that some of your hosting plans mention parked domains, what does this mean?
This means that you can park other domain names that you have registered on top of your hosted domain name, this way when visitors visit the other registered domain names, they are taken to your hosted web site. It also allows for you to have email addresses for those parked domains.
What kind of support do you provide and how do I obtain support?
We provide support for any issues that you experience with the features that come with your account plan and any issues that pertain to our servers. We do not provide technical support for your use of 3rd party scripts or html coding for your web pages unless you have purchased one of our site maintenance programs or script programming, please refer to these sections for more detail. Technical support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including Holiday's. Support can be obtained via the Live Assistance link Monday through Friday, 8:00am EST to 6:00pm EST, or by submitting the Technical Support Request Form. Our techs are on duty around the clock and respond to support form requests within 4 hours of submission.

Is The Real Estate Host a Registrar?
No we are not a registrar. We are an affiliate of Bulk Register/Enom. It is through this affiliation that we are able to register and manage our clients domain names.
I'm interested in signing up with The Real Estate Host for a hosting account and I want to register my domain name, how do I get both?
You will have the option of registering your domain name on our order form and it will be processed at the same time that your account is setup.
My domain name is currently hosted with another service, how do I move it to The Real Estate Host?
When you sign up for a hosting account with us you will receive a welcome email that will contain our name server information. You will then need to visit your registrar and modify the current name servers for your domain name to reflect our name servers. Once the modifications are made at your registrar it can take up to 72 hours for the changes to propagate across the networks at which time your domain name will come live on your account on our servers. If you need assistance making the modifications, we will be happy to assist you, however, your registrar should have detailed instructions for modifying your name servers in your account with them. If we can be of assistance during this process you can click our Live Assistance link located on any of our web pages, or submit the Technical Support Request Form and our techs will respond promptly.
My domain name is currently registered through another registrar and I would like to transfer it to The Real Estate Host's registration services, how do I do this?
This can be easily accomplished by submitting the form in the Customer Service Area titled Transfer Domain Registration To The Real Estate Host. Once we receive your request we will initiate the request through the main registrar. Confirmation email's will be sent to the Administrative Contact as it is listed in a Whois report for your domain name. You will need to follow all instructions contained in that confirmation email in order for the transfer to be successful. Your domain registration must not be expired with the current registrar and there must be at least 14 business days before expiration in order to initiate a transfer request.
Are there any fees for transferring my registration to The Real Estate Host's registration services?
The only fee that will apply will be the cost for the 1 year renewal that is automatically applied for any domain names transferred. Please refer to our Domain Registration page for registration and renewal fees.
If I register my domain name through The Real Estate Host, will I retain ownership or will The Real Estate Host?
You will always retain ownership of any domain names that you register through The Real Estate Host as long as the renewal fees are up to date.
What happens when it is time to renew my domain registration, will I be notified?
Our clients have the option to setup with Auto Renewal of their domain registrations when they sign up for hosting services with us. Each year, 30 days prior to expiration of your domain registrations, any registrations you have elected for auto renewal will be automatically renewed and the current billing method on file for your account will automatically be charged the renewal fee.
What happens with my domain registrations if I cancel my hosting service with The Real Estate Host?
As long as your fees are current, your domain registration belongs to you. However, if you have elected for auto renewal, auto renewal will automatically be cancelled and it will be your responsibility to insure that you visit our web site each year to renew your domain registration. The primary registrar, Bulk Register/Enom sends renewal notifications starting 45 days prior to a domain registration expiring to the email address listed in the registrars database for the administrative contact. It is your responsibility to insure that this contact information is kept current so that you always receive important notices from the registrar regarding your domain registrations. To make modifications to your contact records please visit the Account Management Area and submit the appropriate forms under Domain Registration Options.

I'm interested in purchasing a design package, why do I have to pay the initial design fees by check?
We have been providing real estate design services for many years and unfortunately over the years we have experienced those that want the design, but do not want to pay for it, therefore, after we complete the design their website's, they download a copy of their site to their computer and then reverse the charges with their credit card provider, not only damaging our reputation with our merchant providers, but leaving us stuck with covering our own cost and the cost of the template. Therefore, our Policies were altered to allow for payment by check only for the initial design fees. Unfortunately, we all pay for the actions of dishonest people.
I'm interested in purchasing a design package, if I am unhappy with the design can I get a refund?
Once the design process begins design fees become non-refundable. Because the templates offered on our site are exactly what a clients site will look like when it goes live, or if we are using a clients existing design, clients know up front how their site will look and function, therefore it is extremely important that clients take their time when choosing a template for their website to insure they are completely happy with the design, and spend time with one of our representatives asking as many questions necessary to insure your satisfaction.
What if I want to change my site to a new template down the road?
This is not a problem. We all like change now and then! We charge a one time fee of $175.00 plus the cost for the new template.
How long does it normally take for the delivery of my new web site if I purchase a design package?
This can depend on the type of the template that you are choosing with your design package. Flash web sites can sometimes take longer than plain html templates, but if it is a complicated html template than it could take longer than the flash version. It also depends on how big your web site will be and the amount of time it takes you to provide us with the content of your pages and any changes you decide prior to us publishing your pages for a final time. We always set a two week turn around for a full web site but generally it is much sooner. If we will be using a clients existing design, these generally go much faster since the design is already in place. You will be able to view the progress of your web site through the entire process.
What if I choose the smallest design package now, but want to add additional pages later, is this possible and if so, how much will it cost?
With our Real Estate Listing and Website Content Management Design Packages, you have total control over your web page content therefore you can add additional pages anytime you wish without incurring any cost. Just refer to the instruction email that was sent when your site was completed.
What if I decide to move to a new hosting provider, can I take my pages with me?
This depends on your knowledge of PHP and MySQL programming. If you are completely knowledgeable then it is possible for you to move your entire site to another server. At this point we would no longer take responsibility for script updates or any maintenance. Our services are available for clients hosted on our services. Regardless, the template that you select for your design package is yours to keep. However, the template itself is licensed to the domain name it was ordered for only.
Can I use the web site template for another domain name?
Not unless you buy another license for the template and only if it is still available. Just like with computer software, templates are not re-distributable and are covered by strict licenses and agreements.

If I purchase one of your Real Estate Website Templates can I use it for multiple domains?
Not unless you buy another copy of the template. Just like with computer software, templates are not re-distributable and are covered by strict licenses and agreements.
If I purchase one of your Real Estate Website Templates to edit myself and I move to a new hosting provider, can I take the template with me?
Yes, the template license is yours, therefore, you can use it at any hosting provider, but only for the domain name it was purchased for. Please see the restriction above.

No we can not, but nobody can guarantee you a number 1 listing, but the actual search engines themselves..
If I purchase your managed Real Estate SEO package, if I am unhappy with the results, can I get a refund?
Only the monthly fee is refundable as long as you cancel the SEO package within the first 30 days of purchase. The SEO package setup fee covers our cost to setup your site for SEO optimization, therefore it is not refundable.

FREE REAL ESTATE WEBSITE BUILDER FAQ's
If I use your free website builder to design my website and later decide to move to a different hosting provider, can I take my site with me?
It is possible to do so if you understand how to create the mysql database that controls your site as well as download all neccessary images, folders, and files that our builder uses in order for your site to function. But, if you successfully move your site to a different hosting provider, you will no longer have the ability to edit the pages in the manner that you did while on our servers. The site builder software is not a free software, we had to purchase the software and install and configure it for our servers. Unless your new hosting provider offers the exact same software, and has their servers configured exactly like ours, you will have to edit your pages manually which requires html and programming knowledge. We do not provide support for moving your site to a new hosting provider or assisting your new hosting provider in making your site function on their servers. Sorry, but our kindness only goes so far.
Can I purchase one of your Real Estate Website Templates to work with your free site builder?
No. The site builder comes with its own set of templates. You can view these on the Site Builder page of our site. The real estate website templates that are available for purchase are for our real estate design packages, or you can purchase them and edit them yourself but require full HTML and programming knowledge as well as the required software listed with each template in order for you to edit them.
